Wolf Pack is a supernatural drama from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis streaming on the Paramount Plus platform in the US and select other countries.
Davis wrote the pilot episode, serves as executive producer and directed the season one finale ultimately series finale.
Wolf Pack is not a Spinoff
Wolf Pack is not a spinoff of Teen Wolf or any other existing television IP. It is an original series based on the novels of Canadian author Edo Van Belkom.
Plot
Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them - the bite and blood of a werewolf.
Production
Principal photography on Wolf Pack TV Show began on June 20, 2022 and and ran through the middle of November 2022. While the show is set in and around Southern California, the producers chose to film in Atlanta, Georgia mainly due to that state's generous tax credit program for television production. Working in Georgia can offset the cost of production by as much as 30% of the total budget.
The crew used sets, sound stages and other facilities owned by Capital Arts.
According to reporting from Teen Wolf News, the first big location shoot took place over six days near the Stone Mountain park outside Atlanta and included a complex forest fire scene along a busy freeway including dozens of extras.
Pre-Production
On September 24, 2021, MTV Entertainment Studios announced an exclusive deal with writer and executive producer of Teen Wolf, Jeff Davis, in a new multi-year contract.
Under the partnership, Davis would write and executive produce the all-new series Wolf Pack as well as a new Teen Wolf movie based on his earlier MTV Series.
Chris McCarthy, MTV Entertainment President and CEO and Paramount+ Chief Content Officer in charge of unscripted entertainment and adult animation, is overseeing the project for the streaming service.
The "writers' room" for Wolf Pack opened and work began in earnest on January 31, 2022.

Differences from the Book Series
While the book series and the pilot begin with wildfire, the novel is set in the Canadian wilderness of British Columbia. The Wolf Pack TV show begins with an incident in California.
It appears that, from the information released from the network and character information sourced by Teen Wolf News, the teens in the Wolf Pack TV show are not all related. In the the character descriptions, two new teenagers (Everett and Blake) will be introduced in the first episode and the Tora character from novel series would called Luna in the show.
Based on information gleaned to date, it appears that Wolf Pack would use some information from the novels as backstory for the characters while launching the teens on new adventures.
Relationship to Teen Wolf
Wolf Pack and MTV's Teen Wolf are both written and executive produced by Jeff Davis. Both use the same Atlanta studio facilities and share some behind the scenes crew at least three actors. And both shows involve young werewolves, but the two fictional universes are completely separate. The mythology and creatures involved are different in almost every way.
